Last night the Girls Swim Team competed in a double dual meet against Eastlake and Bothell. Interlake beat Bothell 120-58 and lost to Eastlake. The team came away with 2 State qualifying times! Shannon Cassady qualified in the 100 Breastroke and the 200 Medley Relay team of Anna Kimura, Shannon Cassady, Lianna Sutich and CC Hagen also qualified for State. Great job girls!
The team competes Thursday against Inglemoor. They will swim at the Mary Wayte Pool on Mercer Island at 8:30pm. Come out and cheer them on!! Practices for Interlake Girls Swimming 2013 will begin Aug. 19. The 19th, 21 and 23 there will be " captains" practices at crossroads from 3-4pm wear workout gear and sneakers. Meet at the whale.
Aug. 26 practice will be from 7am-9am at Samena 15231 Lake Hills Blvd. Bellevue, WA 98007 All interested girls are encouraged to join--no prior experience is necessary! that Interlake was awarded the KingCo Team Sportsmanship Award for 2A/3A for the entire season. The boys' swim and dive team has earned a reputation for this, also earning it in 2008 and 2011. This award speaks volumes about the program and the outstanding young men who represent Interlake in the water. Interlake had 10 swimmers make it to KingCo Finals: Jake Beauchamp, Jason Cummings, Karn Dalmia, Noah Davis, Albert Furlong, Alex Lorenz, Joe Lorr, Michael Lorr, Austin Rockwell, Andrew Wang, and Eric Yang. The Saints dominated the relays and got wins from Noah Davis, Alex Lorenz, Michael Lorr and Jason Xu to win going away against the Kangs. More than half of the team's 53 members have qualified for postseason competition, which begins with the KingCo Championship meet at the University of Washington's Husky Pool. Prep sports scoreboard
January 11, 2013 · 8:39 AM Boys swim and dive Interlake 121 Juanita 65 The Saints took the top spot in all but two events to win going away over Juanita. Interlake won the 200 medley relay, 200 free, 200 IM, 100 fly, 100 free, 500 free, 100 back, 100 breast and 400 free relay.
The Saints Swim & Dive team cruised to an easy victory against Crossroads rival
Sammamish Tuesday night (Dec. 18) at Mary Wayte Pool in Issaquah. Senior Joe Lorr took first in the 200 IM in a 3A district time of 2:14.75, and the 100 free in a 3A district time of 52.98. Sophomore Michael Lorr earned a spot at state in the 50 freestyle with a time of 22.61. |
