Interlake Girls Swimming has been named Academic State Champions. They will be honored at the State Championship meet in November.
At the end of every sports season, teams compete academically in the WIAA Scholastic Awards Program. All teams with an average team GPA of 3.0 or higher qualifies for a state award. Those with the highest average team GPA in their sport competes for the Academic State Champion. The game plan against Sammamish was to put the ball in the air several times, but Parrish just kept pounding away and finished with a career-high 436 yards on 24 tries (18.2 yards per carry).
